Vegetable Barley Soup

Ingredients
- 2 quarts beef broth
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 cups cubed potatoes
- 2 cups sliced green beans
- 2 cups thinly sliced cabbage
- 1⁄2 cup finely chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1 -2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1⁄3 cup quick-cooking barley
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Combine all ingredients, except barley, salt and pepper, in a slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on high 3-4 hours, adding barley during the last 30 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
