Van's Homemade Christmas Fudge

The smoothest, mouth watering fudge that will ever touch your pallet. Add walnuts, but I suggest with small children, to omit the walnuts. Show more

  1. Heavily butter 11"x16" pan with butter including sides.
  2. Open and pre-measure all ingredients.
  3. Using heavy large pan on medium high heat.
  4. Melt butter, add evaporated milk,salt, sugar slowly and vanilla. Stir constantly, being sure not to scrape sides of the pan.
  5. Heat to soft ball stage on candy thermometer. Remove from heat.
  6. Immediately add marshmallows, walnuts, and chocolate chips. Stirring constantly until well blended.
  7. Pour immediately into buttered pan. Let cool, cut into 1 inch squares.
  8. Place in rubber container with lid in a cool place until ready to serve.
  9. I use the back entrance way or basement. My dad used to hide it in the attic or garage.
  10. 2 pieces per serving when cut into 1 inch squares.
