Vanilla Sugar Cookies

My mother-in-law's recipe. Perfectly delicious.

Ingredients

• 1  cup butter
• 1  cup shortening
• 1  cup sugar
• 1  cup confectioners' sugar
• 2  teaspoons vanilla
• 2  eggs
• 4  cups flour
• 1  teaspoon baking soda
• 1  teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt

Directions

1. Cream butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
3. Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl.
4. Gradually add to cream mixture.
5. Roll into desired size balls.
6. Roll in granulated sugar.
7. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
8. Bake @ 325 for 8-10 minute.
