Unstuffed Peppers Casserole Style

Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (14 1/2ounce) can stewed tomatoes
- 1 cup white rice
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 dash garlic salt
- 1 dash black pepper
Directions
- In large nonstick skillet brown beef and onion. Drain. Add tomatoes, seasonings and rice.
- Simmer 20 minutes Add garlic, green peppers and mushrooms.
- Simmer another 10 minutes until pepper is tender crisp. Remove from stove. Add cheese and serve.
