Unstick the Honey off My Measuring Spoons!

This is a method rather than a recipe-- I discovered that this is an easy way to get a highly viscous liquid like honey off a measuring spoon because it gets pretty tough for even small amounts, though the bigger the amount the more frustrating it gets. I decided to post this after an old housewives' "manual" (don't you just love laughing at those?!) I found in a thrift store stated to use oil for these substances but I updated it for us calorie-conscious 2000s kitchen masters (because it's no longer just ladies doing it:)). Plus, this way is also easier than using oil! Show more

Directions

  1. Consult your recipe for however much honey you need. Take the measuring spoon(s) required and hold it about 8-10 inches away from the can.
  2. Lightly spritz so the spoon gets a decent coating of spray but not too much.
  3. Measure out the honey, it'll slide right out of the spoon now.
