Directions

  1. Thaw bread dough (about 2 hours at room temperature) and let the bread dough rise according its package directions.
  2. Divide dough into 8 pieces and stretch to size and shape of a thin maple bar (about 1/2 inch thick).
  3. Deep fry the chunks of dough until they are golden brown and then turn them over; repeat.
  4. In a medium sauce pan dissolve the cornstarch and sugar into the milk and heat until thickened. Pour into individual serving bowls for dipping.
  5. If you would like, slice the Dough Boys in half lengthwise, butter and put back together; dip into the milk mixture a bite at a time and enjoy!
