Twinkie Pie

I found this recipe on a Facebook blog site named Very Culinary and made it to take to a dinner party. It was a hit. Every body loved it and were shocked when they found out what one of the main ingredients was. Show more

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Unwrap all the twinkles.
  3. Cut each one in half lengthwise and then cut horizontally in 3 to make each twinkie 6 pieces.
  4. In a large bowl whisk the eggs, butter, sugar, vanilla and vinegar until well combined.
  5. Gently fold in twinkie pieces with a spatula.
  6. Mixture will be thick.
  7. Pour into the pie shell which is in a pie pan.
  8. Place pie pan on a cookie sheet to prevent spill overs.
  9. Bake for 40 minutes or until set and the top is golden.
  10. Let cool, slice and serve garnished with whipped cream.
