Tuscan White Bean Spread

Yields: 2 cups
Ingredients
- 2 cups white beans (Great Northern or cannellini)
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 2 small onions, thinly sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage
- sea salt
Directions
- Put the oil in a pan over high heat.
- Put beans in a food processor.
- Add the onions and garlic, and stir until the onions have a light golden color.
- Add the cooked onion and garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil to the beans in the food processor.
- Puree all of the ingredients.
- Add sage and sea salt to taste.
- Adjust thickness with water.
