Ingredients
- 1 1⁄4 lbs ground turkey
- 1⁄2 yellow onion
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1⁄2 teaspoon savory
- 1⁄2 teaspoon oregano
- 1⁄2 teaspoon basil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon fresh ground mixed peppercorns
- 1⁄4 teaspoon rosemary
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground thyme
- 1⁄4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms
- 1 (14 1/2ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1⁄4 cup chicken broth
Directions
- 1. Heat olive oil over medium high heat.
- 2. Cook onion until soft, then add turkey and cook until almost completely cooked.
- 3. Add spices and seasonings and cook until turkey is completely cooked.
- 4. Add the rest of the ingredients - mushrooms, tomatoes, paste, and broth - and cook, covered, on medium low heat for 45 minutes to an hour.
- 5. Serve with spaghetti noodles.
