Turkey Meat Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 lb ground turkey (not breast)
- 1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (10 ounce) can tomato puree
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon marjoram
- 1⁄2 teaspoon paprika
- 1⁄2 teaspoon basil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- In a large pot, heat the oil. Brown the garlic and sautée the onion. Add the meat and brown it untill all traces of pink have gone, breaking it up into smaller peices with a spatula or large spoon. Add the sauce, puree, water and spices. Give it a stir and let it simmer covered on low heat for about an hour, stirring every few minutes to prevent the bottom from burning. Serve over pasta.
