Turkey Black Bean Chili

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies, peppers
- 2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes with puree
- 2 (16 ounce) cans black beans, rinsed and drained
Directions
- In a large pot, cook turkey and onion in oil over medium high heat, stirring to break up lumps, until turkey is no longer pink, 5-7 minutes.
- Drain off any excess fat.
- Add all remaining ingredients; stir to mix well.
- Heat to boiling, stirring often.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes.
