Tuna Treats for Dogs and Cats

I have have a dog with bad allergies so he eats a grain free diet. I love to make my animals' treats so this was today's adventure. They are in the oven now. I'll update when they have cooled but I can tell you the fur kids loved the batter!

Ingredients

• 1  cup buckwheat flour
• 1⁄2 cup dried garbanzo beans (ground into flour)
• 1  teaspoon baking soda
• 1  teaspoon salt
• 1  egg
• 6  ounces tuna
• 1⁄2 cup olive oil
• 1⁄2 cup water

Directions

1. preheat oven to 350.
2. combine dry in med bowl.
3. mix tuna, egg and oil in mixer on med speed.
4. slowly add dry to wet.
5. add enough water to make cake batter consistency.
6. grease 13x9 pan with olive oil or canola oil (not veggie or corn!).
7. spread batter in pan evenly.
8. bake for 1hr.
9. remove pan and slice into 1" squares but do not remove from pan.
10. lower oven temp to 250 and bake for 45-60min more.
