Tuna Casserole

For me, this defines comfort food. Grandma's house was a place where I could always find a stable home amidst the chaos of my parents' divorce. Of all her great food, this was always a favorite for me. Warm, delicious, and filling, this recipe is also cheap and easy to make! I made my most recent batch for just around $10! You can vary the amount of soup, tuna, and cooking time depending on your personal taste. I like mine lighter, so I only use 2 cans of the soup. Show more

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg.F.
  2. Follow directions for cooking macaroni. Drain it and dump it into your favorite mixing bowl.
  3. While it's still steaming hot, mix in all the soup and tuna, as well as your desired measure of salt and pepper.
  4. Scoop this into your favorite casserole dish(es).
  5. Smooth the top, and cover it with slices of cheese.
  6. Bake this for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is as browned as you desire. I like my cheese just melted, and still bright yellow.
