Tropical Storm Edouard Steak

It seems I have a trend going creating a new recipe when a tropical storm or hurricane hits here in SE Texas. This year with Edouard on the I wanted to have a good hearty meal in case the power went out. Those of you who don't care for cream of " " soups should avoid this or find substitutes. Show more

Serves: 8

Ingredients

  • 1 (10 1/2ounce) can  cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10 1/2ounce) can  condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 1 (14 1/2ounce) can  French onion soup (I used Dominique's)
  • 8  sirloin steaks, portions
  • 3  tablespoons flour
  • 12 cup water
  • 16  ounces  cooked egg noodles

Directions

  1. Place steak portions in a Dutch oven.
  2. Mix soups in a bowl.
  3. Pour sous over steak.
  4. Season with black pepper.
  5. Bring to a simmer on the stovetop.
  6. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
  7. Add flour dissolved in the water.
  8. Simmer 1/2 hour more.
  9. Serve over egg noodles (I used no yolk by mistake but no one noticed).
