Triple-Chocolate Mousse Cake

Ingredients

  • 12 cup  chocolate syrup
  • 1  chocolate cake mix, 2 layer size
  • 1  cup water
  • 13 cup  oil
  • 7  eggs, divided
  • 12 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1  cup sugar
  • 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 4  semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, melted
  • 1  cup Cool Whip, thawed

Directions

  1. heat oven to 375.
  2. spray 12-cup fluted tube pan with cooking spray.
  3. pour in chocolate syrup.
  4. beat cake mix, water, oil and 3 eggs with mixer 2 minutes or until well blended.
  5. blend in sour cream.
  6. pour over syrup in pan.
  7. beat cream cheese and sugar with mixer until blended.
  8. add remaining eggs, mix well.
  9. blend in milk and chocolate.
  10. gently spoon over cake batter.
  11. cover with foil sprayed with cooking spray, sprayed side down.
  12. place tube pan in large pan.
  13. add 2 inches water to larger pan.
  14. bake 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick comes out clean.
  15. cool on wire rack.
  16. refrigerate 2 hours.
  17. invert cake onto plate, remove pan.
  18. serve with cool whip.
