Ingredients
- 100 g mung dal
- 100 g channa dal
- 1 pinch hing
- 100 g arhar dal
- 1 tejpatta (bay leaf)
- salt
- 1 piece ginger (1 inch)
- 1⁄2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 green chilies
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- coriander
- 2 cardamoms (small)
- 2 lemons
- 1 teaspoon jeera powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
Directions
- Soak the dal in water for 1 hour.
- Put it in a pressure cooker.
- Add salt and turmeric powder.
- Wait for 2-3 whistles.
- Turn off the gas.
- Heat ghee in a kadahi.
- Add jeera, bay leaf, cardamoms, hing, garam masala, ginger and green chilly.
- Add dal.
- Put lemon juice and garam masala powder.
- Add chopped coriander.
- Serve hot with Potato Bharta.
