Directions

  1. Saute onions in oil til glossy.
  2. Add beans and mix.
  3. Add salt and water, cook for about 15 minutes or until beans are just tender. Drain.
  4. In the meantime, mix vinegar and sugar in another pot and stir till sugar is completely dissolved.
  5. Mix dry ingredients, softened with a little water, add to sugar/vinegar mixture. Stir thoroughly and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Add cooked beans, simmer for further 10 minutes.
  7. Serve either hot or cold or bottle and keep in the fridge - they keep well and improve with age.
