Toscano Soup - Crock Pot

Ingredients
- 1 lb sausage
- 16 ounces chicken broth
- 1 quart water
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 large russet potatoes, halved and 1/4 in slices
- 1 large onion
- 1⁄4 cup bacon bits (optional) or 5 slices crispy bacon, crumbled (optional)
- 2 cups kale or 2 cups swiss chard, chopped
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Directions
- Brown Sausage in Skillet over Medium-High heat until no longer pink.
- Place cooked Sausage, Chicken Broth, Water, Garlic, Potatoes and Onion in Crock Pot.
- Cover and cook on High 3-4 Hours until Potatoes are soft (Optional: Mash Potatoes for texture).
- Add Kale or Swiss Chard.
- Cover and let sit for 5 Minutes.
- Stir in Heavy Whipping Cream and serve.
