Tomato Soup Cake

Ingredients
- 1 (10 1/2ounce) can tomato soup
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon clove
- 1⁄4 teaspoon allspice
Directions
- Place soup and baking soda in large bowl; mix together.
- Stir beaten egg and melted butter into the soup.
- Sift remaining ingredients together three times.
- Add to the soup mixture and beat until smooth.
- In a cake pan, bake in a moderate oven 375 degrees about 35 minutes or until done.
- Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting (see recipe) if you wish.
