Tomato Soup

Serves: 2-4
Yields: 3 quarts
Ingredients
- 5 lbs tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1⁄2 teaspoon mild Tabasco sauce
- salt & pepper
- 5 ounces tomato paste
Directions
- Boil water to dip tomatoes.
- Wash tomatoes. Dip in boiling water 30 to 60 seconds. Immediately dip in cold water. Slip off skins. Trim away any green areas & stems.
- Cut tomatoes add to crock pot and add all ingredients.
- Cook on high for 4 hours.
- Strain seeds and pulp out and return to crock pot.
- Cook for 2 hours.
- Serve with a side of rice or toasted cheese sandwitch.
