Tomato Jam a.k.a. Roast Beef Relish

Ingredients
- 12 ripe tomatoes
- 2 1⁄2 cups white sugar
- 2 cups white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon clove
Directions
- Blanch& peel tomatoes.
- Place in heavy dutch oven along with sugar; bring to a boil& boil for an hour.
- Stir often.
- Add vinegar& spices& continue boiling until thickened, about another 45 minutes.
- Stir often.
- Pour into hot, sterilized jars& seal.
