Tollhouse Pie

This pie is like a warm tollhouse cookie in a pie shell. It's similar to a pecan pie. I've made this pie nearly every thanks giving for 20 years, but you'll want to cook it more than once a year. Show more

Yields: 1 pie

Ingredients

  • 2  eggs
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 12 cup brown sugar
  • 12 cup flour
  • 34 cup  melted butter
  • 1  cup  semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1  cup  roughly chopped walnuts
  • 1  unbaked pie shell

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Beat the eggs.
  3. Mix sugar, brown sugar, and flour with the eggs.
  4. Mix in the melted butter. (Make sure it's cooled before adding to the mix).
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
  6. Spoon into the unbaked pie shell.
  7. Bake for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted comes out cleanly.
