Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2⁄3 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1⁄2 cup keifer buttermilk, low-fat milk
Directions
- Mix dry ingredients.
- cut shortening into dry ingredients until flour is pea size.
- mix egg and keifer/milk.
- add egg to flour mixture.
- stir until moist- knead on flour board 10 times- roll to 1/2 inch- use your favorite biscuit cutter.
- bake in 450 oven for 10-12 minutes.
