The Best Ones (Brownies)

From the 4H cookbook, these are the best brownies I have ever come across. A family favorite taken to all of our camping trips and for a special treat at home!

Ingredients

• 1  cup butter
• 1  cup  cocoa
• 2  cups sugar
• 4  eggs
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1 1⁄3 cups flour
• 1  teaspoon baking powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt

• frosting

• 3  tablespoons  melted butter
• 1⁄2 cup  cocoa
• 1⁄4 cup milk
• 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
• 2  cups icing sugar

Directions

1. Melt butter; stir in cocoa, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
2. Blend in flour, baking powder and salt.
3. Pour into a greased 13 X 9 pan.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes.
5. Cool slightly and frost.
6. Combine all frosting ingredients and stir until smooth.
