  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and stir until combined
  5. Add chocolate chips.
  6. Drop teaspoonfuls onto baking sheets. Make sure you leave enough room for the cookies to spread out.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes.
