The Best Brown Sugar Meatloaf

This recipe doesn't call for ketchup like many do. I use tomato sauce instead and it is topped with a tomato sauce and brown sugar glaze. It was my biggest seller at the club I used to cook for. Easy to make too. Compliment it with a beef gravy, mashed potatoes, and a side of corn,

• Yields: 2 loaves

Ingredients

• 3  lbs  ground chuck
• 1  sleeve  saltine crackers, crushed
• 2  eggs
• 1  teaspoon salt
• 1  teaspoon black pepper
• 1  medium onion, chopped
• 1  teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
• 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce (one 8 oz can for meatloaf, and 1 8 oz can for the basting sauce)
• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar (packed)

Directions

1. In a large bowl, mix the first 8 ingredients well (using only one 8 oz can of tomato sauce). Spray two baking dishes with favorite cooking spray and create two loaves.
2. Mix remaining one can of tomato sauce with 1/2 cup brown sugar and heat until mixed. Spread all over the meat loaves covering well. Bake for 90 minutes at 350 degrees F.
