Tastes Like Mc Donald's Tartar Sauce - Copycat

I make this every time we have fish sandwiches. It tastes just like Mc Donald's so if you love their fish sandwiches you'll enjoy this. Another great copycat from Todd Wilbur. Show more

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 4  tablespoons Hellmann's mayonnaise
  • 4  teaspoons  heinz  sweet pickle relish
  • 4  teaspoons  finely minced  white onions (no substitutions)
  • 2  pinches salt

Directions

  1. Combine mayonnaise, sweet relish, minced onion, and salt in a small bowl.
  2. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Chill for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to blend.
  4. Remove from fridge about 10 minutes before serving and stir well.
  5. Tip; If making sandwiches, add even more Mc Donald's flavor by lightly toasting cut sides of regular hamburger buns in a dry, nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Watch closely so they do not burn.
  7. Melt a slice of American cheese atop a piece of cooked, breaded fish {Mrs. Paul's works well} and assemble sandwich.
