Tangy Cranberry Sauce

Yields: 3 cups
Ingredients
- 1 small onion
- 1 (14 1/2ounce) can Italian stewed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1⁄2 teaspoon paprika
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 (16 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
Directions
- Chop onion.
- Place onion and all ingredients except cranberry sauce in a food processor and process until almost smooth.
- Transfer to a saucepan and add cranberry sauce.
- Bring to a boil and reduce heat.
- Simmer uncovered until thickened, about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
