Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1⁄2 cup finely chopped celery
- 3 tablespoons finely chopped yellow onions
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- fresh ground pepper
Directions
- In medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
- Add celery and onion and cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add remaining ingredients and whisk together.
- Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Transfer to a bowl, cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
