Taco Tarts

  1. In a bowl, combine the butter, cream cheese, flour and 2 tsp of the taco seasoning mix.
  2. Mix with fingers until blended.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 1/2 hour.
  4. Meanwhile, season ground beef with one full package of the taco seasoning mix.
  5. Add remainder of first packet to make it spicier.
  6. Cook meat according to directions on seasoning packet.
  7. Remove dough from refrigerator.
  8. Form dough into balls the size of a pecan.
  9. Flatten with hands and press into miniature muffin pans.
  10. There should be about 48 crusts.
  11. Fill each crust with about one rounded teaspoon of meat mixture.
  12. Bake at 350* for 10 minutes.
  13. Meanwhile cut cheese slices into 1 inch squares.
  14. Remove pans from oven and top each tart with a cheese slice.
  15. Return to oven and bake for two minutes.
  16. Serve hot.
