Taco Bake

a recipe that I make for my kids. It is a real kid, and a big kid pleaser.

Ready In: 45 mins

Serves: 6-8

Yields: 1 taco pie

  1. In a large skillet, brown ground beef and bell pepper in oil and drain well.
  2. Add salt, tomatoes, water, chili powder and garlic powder. Cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes or until most of the liquid is gone.
  3. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  4. Combine corn muffin mix, egg, and milk and beat well. Pour this mixture over top of the cheese.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until corn muffin mix is lightly brown.
  6. Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
