Swiss Chard and White Bean Soup President's Choice

Ingredients
- 8 cups swiss chard
- 1 2⁄3 cups canned cannellini
- 2 medium onions
- 16 ounces carrots
- 1 cup Italian parsley
- 660 ml tomato sauce
- 660 ml water
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
- Dice carrots and onions.
- Finely chop garlic.
- Chop Swiss chard.
- Add olive oil to a 4 lt pot and sautee garlic, onion, carrots and Italian parsley for 10 minutes on medium heat. Stir occasionally.
- Add the tomato sauce (low salt is best) water, chard and beans and bring to a boil, then turn heat down to a simmer and simmer for 20 minutes.
- I didn't but you may wish to add salt to taste. I find the tomato sauce used has plenty of salt for this recipe.
