Sweet Soy and Ginger Fish

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 13 cup honey
  • 14 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 2  cm gingerroot, peeled, grated
  • 1  teaspoon  sesame oil
  • 8  small  white fish fillets (such as snapper)
  •  salad greens, to serve (baby asian)

Directions

  1. Combine honey, soy, ginger and oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Cook, stirring, until marinade comes to the boil.
  3. Set aside to cool. Pour marinade into a ceramic dish.
  4. Add fish to cooled marinade. Turn to coat.
  5. Cover. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat a chargrill or barbecue on medium heat.
  7. Remove fish from marinade, reserving marinade.
  8. Cook fish, brushing with marinade, for 3 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking.
  9. Place onto plates.
  10. Serve with Asian salad greens.
