Sweet N Sour Mix

Easy to make with only three ingredients and it is the key to making the BEST margaritas! It keeps in the refrigerator for about a week and makes two pitchers of margaritas. Or you can keep it in the freezer for a month. This is basically a lemon-lime simple syrup, combining sugar and water with lime and lemon juice. It is the key as described on the site Wine and glue.   1. Start with a cup of granulated sugar.
  2. Add water and simmer over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Next, add half a cup each of fresh lemon and lime juice. You’ll need about seven plump lemons and limes.
  4. Your Sweet and Sour Mix is now ready! You can store it in a sealed container in the fridge for about a week, or even longer in the freezer.
  5. his recipe makes enough for about 2 pitchers of margaritas, using 1 1/4 cup for each pitcher.
