Sweet Kettle Corn

A sweet and crunchy simple kettle corn recipe that will remind you of the county fair.

Yields: 4 Quarts

Ingredients

  • 14 cup  oil (vegetable, coconut oil)
  • 14 cup sugar
  • 12 cup  Anjou pear, unpopped kernals
  • 1 12 teaspoons salt

Directions

  1. In a 4 quart pot or Whirley Pop kettle heat oil on medium heat. .
  2. Add sugar to oil and stir until well combined.
  3. Once oil and sugar are hot add the unpopped popcorn kernels and stir.
  4. Once first pop happens close lid and carefully slide pot on and off the eye in a quick motion to avoid burning kernals.
  5. When you hear 5-6 seconds between pops remove from heat and immediately pour into a pan and salt to taste.
  6. Serve and Enjoy.
