Sweet and Sour Sauce for Poultry

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup vinegar
- 1⁄2 cup semi dry red wine
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 3 fresh garlic cloves, peeled and minced
- 1⁄2 cup onion
- 1⁄2 cup leek
- 1 tablespoon potato starch or 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 4 -6 teaspoons sugar, substutite equal to 1/4 cup sugar (4-6 packets)
- 2 tablespoons apricot jam, melted (optional)
Directions
- In a small-medium bowl, mix all the ingredients together.
- Place in a plastic bag with your choice of beef or poultry.
- Shake until it is coated and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 2 hours. Bake or cook the meat the way you would normally. Baste often during cooking.
