Swedish Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup shortening (or 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup shortening)
- 1 egg
- 1⁄2 teaspoon watkins butter flavoring
- 1⁄2 teaspoon watkins vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy. Add egg, then Watkins flavorings. Sift dry ingredients. Mix.
- Make balls from pieces of dough size of walnuts. Press down with fork dipped in water.
- Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes.
