Sister Karen and I created this recipe to honor our hardworking clinician and doctor sister, Susan, in Bloomington, Indiana, for Christmas 2014. We are 100% third generation Finnish-American and very proud of it! This recipe is built around Finlandia Grapefruit vodka. In keeping with the spirit of “grapefruit”, we incorporated freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and used a Bloomington-available liqueur with Finnish cardamom spice: Hum botanical spirit liqueur with hibiscus, ginger, cardamom, sugar cane and kaffir lime. Ingredients

  • 2  ounces grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1  ounce vodka, Finlandia grapefruit preferred
  • 12 ounce  liqueur, Hum botanical spirit preferred

Directions

  1. Add first three ingredients to cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until combined. Strain into martini glass.
  2. Garnish with twisted grapefruit rind or slice.
  3. Enjoy!
