Super Simple & Fast Emerald (French) Green Lentils

Ingredients
- 1 cup green lentil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon marjoram
- 1 tablespoon fresh flat-leaf parsley (or 1/2 tsp dry)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil (approx)
- salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Add the lentils and marjoram. If using dried parsley, add now too. Lower the heat.
- Cover loosely and let cook for 20-30 minutes or until tender.
- Remove any excess water if the lentils didn't absorb all of it, then put them into a serving bowl. If using fresh parsley, add now and mix well.
- Drizzle a little olive oil evenly into the bowl (about 1 teaspoon or so, maybe a little less) and mix well.
- Serve, salt and pepper to taste, and enjoy.
