Super Quick ( Before Work) Dump Pot Roast

This is a recipe made out of necessity. The easiest way ( takes about 10 minutes) is to put the meat in the fridge the day before and cutup/peel veggies. I looked and I dont see another recipe like this one. After work all I do is cook some egg noodles and dinner is done. Show more

Serves: 6

Ingredients

  • 3 -4  lbs  chuck roast
  • 1  extra-large onion, sliced up
  • 1 (1 1/4ounce) envelope  lipton beefy onion recipe and  soup mix
  • 1 (1 lb) bag carrot, peeled and slice into large chunks
  • 2  garlic cloves, peeled and cut in half
  • 12 cup ketchup
  • 2  cups water

Directions

  1. 1. Dump 1/2 of veggies/garlic into crock pot.
  2. 2. Place beef ( rinse it first) over veggies.
  3. 3. Dump the other 1/2 of veggies/garlic over beef.
  4. 4. Dump onion soup mix over.
  5. 5. Por 2 cups of water and ketchup over.
  6. 6. Cook on low setting for 8 + hours .
