Super Health Bread

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup boiling water
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 egg, beaten lightly
- 1 cup brown sugar (I use 1/2 cup)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-bran cereal
- 1⁄4 cup wheat germ
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Directions
- Pour boiling water over raisins and allow to cool.
- Stir in eggs, sugar and buttermilk.
- Sift dry ingrdients.
- Add to above and mix well.
- Oven 350 45-50 minutes.
