Sunflower Slaw

Serves: 15

Yields: 3/4 cup

Ingredients

  • 1 (3 ounce) package  ramen noodles
  • 12 cup  slivered almonds
  • 12 cup sunflower seeds
  • 2  tablespoons butter, melted
  • 34 cup  oil
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 12 cup cider vinegar
  • 2  tablespoons soy sauce
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag  Coleslaw

Directions

  1. Break noodles into small pieces (save the seasonings for another use).
  2. Place noodles, almonds, and sunflower kernels in a pan and drizzle with butter, tossing to coat.
  3. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring several times. When done, set aside.
  4. Combine the oil, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, and salt and toss with cabbage.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  6. Stir in crispy noodles, nuts and seeds just before serving. Serve with a slotted spoon.
