Sun Tea

This is a summertime favorite at our house. My mom used to make it and I have no clue where she got the recipe. I like to set it out before heading to church and when we come home I finish it for lunch. This recipe works best in the summer. Show more

Ready In: 2 hrs 10 mins

Serves: 8-10

Yields: 1 gallon

Ingredients

  • 3 14 quarts water
  • 8  lipton tea bags
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 14 cup  countrytime  lemonade mix
  •  ice

Directions

  1. Fill a glass gallon jar with the water.
  2. Unwrap tea bags and place in jar securing strings by fastening lid over them.
  3. Place outside in an area where sun is shining for 2-4 hours.
  4. Bring inside and remove tea bags.
  5. Add sugar and Countrytime Lemonade mix, Stir.
  6. Add ice to make one gallon.
