Sugar Crinkles

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- sugar
Directions
- Cream together the sugar, brown sugar and shortening, vanilla and egg.
- Add the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt; mix well.
- Roll into 1-inch balls then roll in sugar. Place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F oven for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
