Sugar Cookies, if It Has to Come to That

I've never liked sugar cookies until I bumped into my in-laws after absconding with their son. Very convenient. These are nice and soft with a hint of nutmeg.

Ingredients

• 4  cups flour
• 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
• 2  teaspoons baking powder
• 1⁄2-1  teaspoon nutmeg
• 1  cup butter
• 2  eggs
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 1⁄2 cup  cream

Directions

1. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and butter in bowl until fluffy.
2. In a measuring cup, beat eggs and vanilla. pour in cream until the combined liquids reach the 1 cup mark.
3. Stir into mix.
4. Roll out on floured board. Cut out.
5. Bake at 375°F for 8 minutes.
6. Cool and frost.
