Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 1⁄3 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 16 tablespoons butter (or less, according to preference)
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 1⁄4 tablespoons vanilla extract
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit.
- 2. Melt butter and cream together with sugar until nice and fluffy.
- 3. Beat eggs and vanilla into the mixture.
- 4. Stir the remaining dry ingredients together (flour, salt, baking powder) and GRADUALLY add to mixture until well blended.
- 5. Cover and chill in fridge for at least 30 min.
- 6. Flour a surface and roll out dough to cut with cutters or shape with hands.
- 7. Place on a cookie sheet or aluminum foil and bake for 10-15 minutes (start from 10, and bake for a few more if not completely baked).
- 8. Remove from oven and cool on cooling rack(s).
