Sugar Cookies

I don't recall where I found this, just posting for safe keeping.

• Yields: 5 dozen

Ingredients

• 8  ounces cream cheese, softened
• 1  cup margarine
• 2⁄3 cup sugar, plus some for rolling
• 1⁄2 teaspoon  rum flavoring
• 2  cups flour

Directions

1. Combine cream cheese, margarine, 2/3 cup sugar and rum flavoring, mixing until well blended. Add flour; mix well. Chill several hours or overnight.
2. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls; roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten slightly.
3. Bake at 350, 12 minutes.
