Stuffed Turkey Burger

This is such an amazing burger, you won't even know it's turkey! If you aren't one to like really spicy, I highly suggest skipping the sauce and just using typical burger toppings. Show more

Directions

  1. Combine sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. Preheat grill over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic, onion, turkey, mustard, soy sauce, salt and pepper to large mixing bowl.
  4. Mix well (this is easier with your hands).
  5. Divide the turkey into 8 equal-sized balls and flatten into patties.
  6. Lay 2 slices of cheese on 4 of the patties and cover each with another patty.
  7. Pinch the edges to seal the patties closed so the cheese won't melt out.
  8. With your thumb, press down on the center of the patty; this will keep the juices locked in and prevents the burger from getting puffy.
  9. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper, to taste, and brush with olive oil. Grill for about 2 minutes per side.
  10. Remove from grill and set aside; toast buns on grill and remove.
  11. Grill the burgers until cooked through, about 5 to 6 minutes per side.
  12. Transfer the burgers to buns and top with spicy mayo sauce, lettuce and grilled tomatoes.
