Stuffed Tomatoes

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 kg ground chuck
- 1⁄2 kg ground chicken
- 4 large onions, finely diced
- 18 medium tomatoes (not too firm)
Directions
- Cut tomatoes in half and hollow out the halves with a spoon. Keep what you've hollowed out in a separate bowl.
- Thoroughly blend ground beef, chicken and onions in a large bowl.
- In a wide, shallow bowl, beat an egg. In another such bowl, blend bread crumbs (or matzo meal) with spices.
- Stuff each tomato half with the beef mixture.
