Stuffed Breadsticks

This is a bisquick recipe. You definately dont want to forget the dipping sauce. This is bound to be a kid pleaser. Great for monday night football. Show more

Yields: 8 sticks

Ingredients

  • 2 14 baking mix or 2 14 Bisquick
  • 1 (8 ounce) package  stringed cheese (smoked preferably)
  • 23 cup milk
  • 14 cup margarine, melted
  • 14 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Dipping sauce

  • 8  ounces  your favorite  pizza sauce or 8  ounces  spaghetti sauce, heated

Directions

  1. Peheat oven 450 degrees.
  2. Mix baking mix and milk together until it becomes a soft dough approximately 30 seconds.
  3. Generously dust surface with baking mix (bisquick) and turn dough onto it.
  4. Take a rolling pin and softly roll dough in the baking mix, just enough to coat it.
  5. Form into a ball and knead the dough about 10 times.
  6. Roll the dough into a 12x8 in rectangle.
  7. Cut the dough into 8 6x2 inch long rectangles.
  8. Wrap each long strip around a piece of cheese.
  9. Pinch the ends and smooth inward to seal the ends.
  10. Gently roll the wrapped cheese on surgace to ensure closure.
  11. Place each piece with the seem down onto a ungreased foil lined cookie sheet.
  12. Bake for approximately 7-10 minutes or until golden.
  13. In a small bowl, mix margarine and garlic powder together.
  14. Brush each bread stick with the garlic butter.
  15. Dip in sauce.
  16. Enjoy!
